Nimesh J. Monson is an accomplished software and hardware engineering professional with over 7 years of experience in the industry. Currently working as a Back End Developer at tempo, Nimesh has previously worked as a Software R&D Engineer at easypost and a Software Automation Engineer at anki. At easypost, Nimesh prototyped different industrial robots in a cross-functional team to create an automated warehouse ecosystem. He implemented robot backend and data pipelines for converting API commands to byte code for TMCL controllers. Additionally, he engineered a label and QR scanner using OpenCV to assist with robot’s docking and navigation. He iterated on the design after studying the effects of real-world scenarios like light, signal strength, human error, etc. During a temporary business phase, Nimesh shifted his focus from R&D to developing and deploying client-facing APIs. At anki, Nimesh developed a suite of factory tests on the robot’s firmware to perform longevity tests for different components. He implemented a system to allow testing of the robot’s physical reaction to sound and determining its direction. Nimesh improved the modularity and scalability of software used to test the precision of the robot’s facial recognition. He also created Teamcity infrastructure to run nightly tests on a simulated robot with the latest code changes. Nimesh holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business from Lehigh University.
